Dotazione che un mezzo di decarcerazione deve avere a bordo (FIA, International Sporting Code, appendice H, supplemento 3, capitolo 5):

5. DISINCARCERATION EQUIPMENT
For intervention vehicles intended to undertake the release of persons from damaged cars, the following equipment is required at least:

Cutting equipment:
- 1 impact chisel;
- 1 pneumatic chisel;
- 1 compressed air saw with a portable compressor or a suffi cient air supply to give not less than 20 minutes cutting time at a maximum pressure of 100 psi;
- saw blades specifi cally for cutting fibreglass, carbon fi bre or Kevlar reinforced composite materials;
- 1 large hydraulic cutter.

Hydraulic equipment:
- 1 10 ton/8 ton standard rescue kit as provided complete by Hurst, Tangy, or equivalent;
- 1 large spreader;
- 1 small spreader;
- 1 1-ton trolley jack.

Tools:
- 1 quick release knife per crew member;
- 2 hacksaws with unbreakable blades;
- 1 small axe;
- 2 pairs of tin shears, one curved, the other straight;
- 1 pair of shears for cutting aramid, cabon fibre or fibreglass fabrics;
- 1 pair of pliers;
- 1 crowbar;
- 1 x 11/4 inch bolt croppers;
- 1 pipe bender;
- 1 18 ft nylon rope, 3 ton breaking strain;
- 1 vice grip;
- 1 set of sockets (AF);
- 1 set of sockets (metric);
- 1 set of ring and open-ended spanners (metric and AF);
- 1 set of Allen keys (metric and AF);
- 2 hammers;
- 1 4 kg club hammer;
- 1 selection of fl at and Philips screwdrivers;
- 1 torch.
