Hanno entrambi un contratto e sinceramente non esistono alternative migliori sul mercato

Vero, tengono contratto fino al 2012, il dubbio era riferito sbadatamente al prolungamento dello stesso.

F1 : 2012 Ferrari Formula 1 race seat for Rosberg is possible says Coulthard

David Coulthard thinks it is possible Ferrari will soon oust Felipe Massa from his Formula One drive.

Despite Brazilian Massa having a contract for 2012, recent speculation has linked the race seat alongside Fernando Alonso next year with Mercedes' Nico Rosberg.

"In Formula One, anything is possible," said former Grand Prix winner and now British pundit Coulthard, appearing on Austrian television Servus TV.

"I've learned that in my 17 years (in Formula 1)," he added.

Coulthard said that when it comes to one of the most coveted seats in the sport, only performance matters.

"He's a very nice, likeable guy who drives with his heart," said the Scot. "But he no longer shows the sort of performance he did before his accident in Hungary (2009).

"Ferrari probably have no choice but to look for another driver."

Coulthard agreed that, in India last weekend where Massa clashed again with Lewis Hamilton and twice broke his suspension over kerbs, the 30 year old seemed to be buckling under the pressure of his situation.

"In Formula One you're always under pressure," he insisted.

"Even Sebastian Vettel is under pressure, just a different sort. Massa may know that his Formula One career is slowly coming to an end. With these results, he will not be at Ferrari for many more years.

"Ferrari will be looking seriously at the two drivers it has and deciding what is the strongest possible package they can have for 2012," added Coulthard.

F1 : Williams to announce Kimi Raikkonen Formula 1 drive deal in Abu Dhabi

"(The) Raikkonen (agreement) is almost there," a source inside the famous British team is quoted by FAZ newspaper.

Italy's Autosprint reports that the funding is coming from Qatar.

Williams on Wednesday hinted at the deal by revealing that a memorandum of understanding with Mowasalat, a Qatari company, was signed in Doha for the use of the team's simulator technology.

"The funding for the 'Iceman' is coming from the heat of Qatar," said the Italian magazine.

The Finnish broadcaster MTV3 said the sponsorship of a Qatar bank is the next step.

That will validate a contract that 32 year old Raikkonen reportedly signed recently "and the announcement will be made in Abu Dhabi" next weekend.

The Swiss publication Motorsport Aktuell said the 2007 World Champion is Williams' "first choice" to be Pastor Maldonado's new team-mate.

"He (Raikkonen) has been at Grove several times for talks," the report added.

si parla di nico in visita a maranello, e di uno scambio rosberg massa già dal prox anno..................................... da tifoso mercedes  mi disp x nico ma sono sicuro che in ferrari vadano forte

Sarebbe una bella soluzione per tutti:

Nico mi sembra chiaro che in Mercedes rischi di livellarsi alla mediocrità delle prestazioni della vettura e, vista l'età, è il momento giusto per cercare di concretizzare il proprio potenziale. Non ha avuto problemi a convivere con Schumacher ed è stato l'unico compagno di scuderia a riuscire a tenergli testa, nonostante le ultime gare in cui il vecchio Kaiser s'è ringalluzzito. Non sarà lo Schumacher del 1995, ma è sicuro un metro di paragone ottimo per un giovane pilota: se riesci a viverla bene con lui, allora riuscirai anche in un team come la Ferrari vicino ad Alonso.

Massa potrebbe andare a giocarsi la sua ultima possibilità vicino al suo mentore e certamente libero da blocchi psicologici. Certo che non sarebbe il pilota su cui impostare il futuro, ma in ottica di un sicuro ritiro di Schumacher, potrebbe essere la giusta spalla per un giovane di talento. Troverebbe per altro un ambiente che conosce e una diversa pressione. Certo che se performasse peggio di Schumacher, sarebbe per lui la fine.

Ferrari si troverebbe un gran pilota per spingere al limite Alonso: un giovane simpatico e talentuoso che sicuramente non avrebbe paura dell'asturiano. Inoltre Fernando, checchè se ne dica, penso che necessiti di un po' di competizione e che capisca che se vuole primeggiare, abbia bisogno di un compagno all'altezza, soprattutto se si vuole puntare al titolo costruttori.

Mercedes potrebbe liberare un po' Schumacher dal confronto con Rosberg ed avere un pilota che, negli ultimi tempi, performa allo stesso livello del più giovane collega. Schumacher probabilmente farebbe meno casini (e perderebbe meno punti) e potrebbe portare avanti lo sviluppo della vettura come ha sempre fatto. Per di più ci sarebbe un team di lavoro collaudato, forse un po' attempato, ma che sa come si vincono i mondiali. Ovvio che il presupposto è che la vettura sia buona
